Victory in Istanbul and new Croatian indoor record Ivan Horvat has set new record in pole vault. 5.60 m, a new indoor Croatian record, Ivan realized on the 16th Balkan Indoor Championships, which was held on 23 February 2013 in Istanbul.

Ivan begin jumping on 5.00 m. From first attempt Ivan jumped height 5.00 m, 5.20 m, 5.30 m and 5.40 m, and then from second attempt overcame height 5.52 m and repaired state record for 1cm. Ivan failed on his first two attempts at 5.60. Ivan passed up his third attempt at 5.60. This great score tied a personal and Croatian indoor record with a personal and Croatian outdoor record.
